We are currently looking for passionate people ready to make a difference in the following open position : Materials Engineer F/M/X, based in Lyon (7e).
Within the R&D teams of Nemera, this position is responsible for the selection, development and qualification of polymer materials in support of the profitable growth and business continuity planning of Nemera. This position is key to decide on the strategic materials technology direction for Nemera for both current needs and future vision
The Design Engineer Materials reports to the Materials Engineering Manager and is based in Lyon 7e.
Job Description :
- Manage global materials research at various third parties and suggest new technologies that may contribute to the profitable growth of the business unit in alignment with the division's strategy
- Manage key activities in support of material development including material trials and testing
- Design, supervise and interprete tests specific to materials characterization with external laboratories
- Coordinate material technical activities to support plant (change control, expertise...)
- Drive material evaluations in alignment with Technology initiatives, Regulatory requirements and Supply Chain constraints
- Support strategic blue sky materials innovations
- Function as material engineering support for New Product Innovation teams.
- In conjunction with Supply Chain, identify alternate materials for qualification in assigned sites
- Assist quality, regulatory, commercial and manufacturing teams in regards to materials technology
- Assist in the development and maintenance of key material supplier technical relationships

Le profil recherché
So, what are we looking for?
Graduate (BS) degree in Polymer Science, Plastics Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering.
You have significant experience (at least 5 years) in state of the art materials technology and analytical techniques in the medical devices or pharmaceutical packaging development industry. You have experience in material and drug formulation interactions.
You engage with people through continuous participation, dialogue and compelling communication. You demonstrate the ability to present complex materials technology information in a simplified manner as needed in small and large internal and external meetings
Open minded and with a positive critical thinking mindset, you know how to build trust & actively support the achievement of common goals across teams. You can manage multiple activities and prioritise simultaneously. You are known as an excellent listener, autonomous but also strong team player.
Languages :
Fluent in English and French.
We offer the possibility of working from home 2 days per week.
