The Analytical Chemist & Lab Manager plays a key role in the development and assessment of perfumes and scented products. The position will provide technical perfumery support to co-create, ideate and incubate with Fragrance Houses, internal partners and external partners to create breakthrough innovations with the Estee Lauder Companies' portfolio of brands.

As part of the ground-breaking Atelier team and fragrance Product Development organization, this role will BE in service of the global brands, contributing to end-to-end fragrance support, boosting product innovation, driving go-to-market speed & agility, and enhance artisanal quality of ELC products. This individual will bring new fragrance capabilities to the enterprise as we grow and develop in this category reporting directly with the VP Atelier Site Leader and working closely with the VP Technical Perfumery.

Principal Accountabilities :
- Responsible for all laboratory equipment qualification and management
- Run analytical equipment in the Atelier to support fragrance measurements related to fragrances and fragrance ingredients
- Develop new analytical methodologies
- Ensure all data is structured and recorded to enable efficient data analysis and AI initiatives.
- Creation of SOPs for all analytical equipment
- Establish systems to manage lab equipment and lab equipment documentation
- Ensure implementation of consistent global analytical methods
- Working with the Fragrance Evaluator and the Fragrance Compounder, support the definition of quality parameters for ingredients (e.g. : odor, color, physical and chemical properties)

Qualifications
- MSc minimum required, in chemistry or analytical chemistry
- 3 to 5 years working on analysis of perfumes for fragrances, cosmetics, skin, hair products. Global fragrance house experience a plus
- Familiarity in fragrance ingredient extraction processes
- Technical rigor and attention to detail (process, record keeping, fragrance raw materials management)
- Good level in English for daily communication, and emails is a plus
- Independent and self-motivated, pro-active
