What you will do ?
- As a Mainframe Software Engineer Professional, you will BE responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing high-quality mainframe software solutions. Your expertise in mainframe technologies, programming languages, and systems will BE instrumental in developing efficient and reliable applications that meet the organisation's requirements.
- Designing and developing mainframe applications based on business requirements and technical specifications including coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines in application development and maintenance.
- Experience with debugging, troubleshooting and performance tuning of mainframe systems to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Keeping up-to-date with emerging mainframe technologies, tools, and trends, and recommending their integration into existing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mainframe systems with other IT infrastructure components.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and provide training and support to other colleagues on mainframe technologies, tools, and best practices.

Who are you?
- 3 to 5 yeas of experience in mainframe programming languages and tools (e.g., COBOL, JCL, VSAM, ISPF, SDSF, MQ, IMS DB/DC, OPCE or relevant languages.)
- Knowledge of mainframe databases and data management systems, such as DB2, Assembler, CICS.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and perform reverse engineering of existing legacy applications.
- Proactively upskilling and reskilling according to present and future requirements.
- Professional certifications in mainframe technologies (e.g., IBM) are a plus.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
- Experience in modernizing the legacy mainframe environment, utilizing relevant tools and techniques in the mainframe domain.
- Fluent in English
