POSITION DESCRIPTION

The FMS/Mine Data Sr Engineer is part of the HO Tech Sces Team, will oversee the development of Fleet Management Systems usage across the company operations to enhance performance and productivity. Beyond the FMS, the Data management and analysis, technical and operational reporting tools management is completing the scope. The mission is structured around 3 main axis :
1. FMS/Data Tehnology and process :
o Monitor the FMS offer from OEM, FMS suppliers for FMS, maintain a permanent comprehensive market status
- FMS
- Telecom / Network
o Establish the standards for optimal use of the FMS on site from the current company practices
o Establish maintain the standards for technical and operational reporting
o Run the tender/RFP for the supply of FMS/Data services for tenders
2. Operations Support :
o BE the referent for the sites FMS teams
o Establish SOP and maintain the good practices for performance in FMS usage and reporting, capitalize the company return on experience.
o Support the sites with supplier's contacts, orders, troubleshooting
3. Resources Development :
o Set up the knowledge management for Engineering/FMS teams
o Establish the training program and skills development of the teams
o Participate with the operational teams to the recruitment process and internal promotion.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

EXPERIENCE

A solid mining experience of 10 to 15 years in the industry with a proven experience working at least 1 preferably 2 different type Tier 1 FMS systems over the last 5 years. Preferred Educational background is Minig Engineer, BSc and above, with experience in mine planning and mine operations
This position requires to produce documents, analysis and synthesis so an ability in analyze, and writing is important. Therefore, mastering the MS Office Suite, Word/Excel/PPT is mandatory.
In addition, knowledge in mine planning software as SURPAC/DESWIK... is a plus.
Knowledge in Database, PowerBI is important to secure the ability to exchange with specialists as needed.

ASSIGNMENT

As member of the support flying team, most of the woks will occur on site, with missions at the HO, suppliers and attending technical events as needed.

OTHER PREREQUISITE

The mining sector operates primarily in English, so a good level of English for communication and written comprehension of documents is essential. Our team is multicultural, and the use of English in communication is a daily occurrence. French capacity is a plus according to our current locations and HO. Frequent travels to site currently in Africa as well as in Europe will BE necessary as well as missions in North America/Australia.
