Job Title
Senior Information Security Engineer
Summary of the Role
The Global Information Security Incident Manager (GSIM) is responsible for coordinating global security incident and vulnerability response activities across all Amadeus business units. This role also serves as the primary point of contact with xISO (24/7 support). The GSIM consolidates lessons learned from past incidents, evolves the Security Incident Response Process (SIRP) and Vulnerability Response Process (VRP), and tracks follow-up actions. Based in Nice, France, the GSIM supports key business units by working in project mode with xISO, continuously improving the security posture, and ensuring that alerts and controls are effectively monitored by the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).
In this role, you will have a chance to ;
- Coordinate global security incident and vulnerability response activities (e.g., Zero Day and major vulnerabilities) across all Amadeus business units, serving as the main contact for xISO.
- Consolidate lessons learned from past incidents, evolve SIRP and VRP, and track progress on follow-up actions.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and drive action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Create and share executive summaries related to security incidents and problems.
- Serve as Scrum Master or Project Manager for GSOC or Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)-led technical projects and organize regular security assessments and tabletop exercises (TTX) with external partners.
Collaborative Responsibilities
- Support the deployment of Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) standard security technologies across the organization through internal teams or external partners.
- Contribute to quality management and continuous improvement initiatives for the Global Security Organization.
- Support compliance efforts by providing evidence to auditors and compliance teams, referencing frameworks such as Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF), and the Network and Information Systems (NIS) Directive.
About Ideal Candidate
Education
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience (Amadeus experience is a plus), with a strong operational background in security.
- Experience in enterprise-scale IT environments and in incident or problem management.
- At least 8 years in project management, with preference for candidates with program management experience.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows or Linux operating systems, and network management.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong leadership, communication, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and change management principles.
- Proven ability to write proposals and manage performance evaluation processes.
