- La curiositéReporting to the Interactions, Dynamics and Lasers Laboratory (LIDYL), you will carry out the following tasks :

The person recruited will BE largely involved in the development of experimental devices : this covers the design of small electromechanical devices, instrumentation, device design, with simple CAD elements, in conjunction with the researchers.
Computer control of experiments in place or being set up will BE planned and carried
out in collaboration with the DICO group's team of experimentalists.
In addition, during the measurement campaigns, she will BE responsible for starting up the laser chains, associated components and high-vacuum equipment, and for taking
the first diagnostic measurements.

IT will also act as an interface between the DICO group's experimenters and the SLIC
group's laser specialists working on the ATTOLab and UHI100 platforms.
The duties of the post holder are as follows :

- Contribution to the DICO Group's R&D activities in terms of instrumentation and the
development of small devices, in close interaction with the LIDYL support teams.
- Participation in the improvement of experiments and control and acquisition
instrumentation. Programming of control software will sometimes BE necessary.
- Start-up and maintenance of equipment associated with DICO group experiments.
- Maintenance of the DICO group's vacuum systems.

Le profil recherché

The candidate should have previous experience in an academic or industrial
environment, in the fields of device design, computer control of equipment and/or data
acquisition (imaging, multi-channel or point measurements).

He/she should have skills in general physical instrumentation. In particular, knowledge
of the handling and maintenance of vacuum chambers, motorised elements, optical
elements and/or various laser detectors and diagnostics will BE a plus. For interfacing
experiments, he/she should have knowledge of the use of computer software/languages such as Labview, Python or C++.

A self-starter, the person will have a strong ability to adapt to different technical/scientific contexts, and will have the interpersonal skills needed to fit in and work in a team and with recurring contacts in the context of hosting external users.
Fluency in professional English is recommended.
