The Employee Relations (ER) Manager provides guidance and resolution for complex employee relations activities involving employees and managers. Leading from the front, the ER Manager heads a team of ER Consultants, ensuring compassionate and effective resolution of ER concerns in accordance with internal policies and local/regional legislation. You will BE a key partner to CoEs including HR Business Partners and Employment Legal Counsel, with the goal of creating exceptional employee experience while being a trusted ER advisor, mitigating risks and fostering a culture of integrity.

Roles and Responsibilities

Team Management
- Responsible for oversight and guidance of a team of ER Consultants across Western Europe to ensure a consistent global standard of practice and process, in alignment with both global and regional ER outlook (e.g., HR Acuity, ER protocols, success metrics).
- Coach and develop ER Consultants on essential skills such as influence, communication, and judgment, leveraging your subject matter expertise to guide their growth.
- Play a pivotal role in talent identification by hiring top talent, recognizing potential, and developing employees to build a high-performing and cohesive team.
- Demonstrate integrity and set the appropriate cultural tone while identifying and addressing key team opportunity areas highlighted by the employee engagement survey

Case Management
- Provide holistic reviews of case management including assessment of cross-case, cross-consultant, cross-assessments. Advise recommendations, manage international interactions, and address team bandwidth issues to ensure effective delivery.
- Manage resource in conjunction with the ER Director and other ER Managers to drive effective case management progress and outcomes
- Coach team members on case strategy during high-stakes situations, effectively de-escalating and resolving issues.
- Drive operational excellence by removing execution barriers, incorporating quality & audit controls for cases and serving as the first line of escalation.
- Proactively identify and flag emerging ER hotspots, trends and high risk/sensitive cases.
- In addition to managerial responsibilities and in special circumstances, ER Managers may carry a case load depending on overall demand and complexities, such as the involvement of a Senior Leader sensitivity of the case, cross- BU / country complexities, and team bandwidth.
- Partner with ER regional leads to manage EX cases based on complexity and exposure.

Partnerships
- Act as trusted calibrator and partner with HRBP, Employment Legal, Investigative partners - Compliance and other ER managers to operate in alignment with globally defined SOP's and review team deviations.
- Responsible to develop and deliver effective capability building for ER Consultants incorporating learnings and insights and in consideration of employee, business and stakeholder experiences.
- Manage and support team members operating in our Works Council countries in conjunction with the relevant Labour Relations team members
- Lead pan-EMEA projects and global ER projects as required

Capability
- Demonstrates strong judgment and business knowledge in ER delivery experiences possessing the ability to Excel in handling individual case resolutions while effectively managing the appropriate levels of risk.
- Able to strategize and drive agreed priorities with a holistic view and aligned with Adobe's values across case vectors and touch points, ensuring coordinated and streamlined ER delivery expectations.
- Plan and lead multi-geographical projects focused on key priority areas.
- Ability to lead stakeholder management efforts, ensuring alignment with key internal and external partners by facilitating clear communication channels.

What you need to succeed
- Proven experience working in an Employee Relations role.
- Knowledge of Western Europe employee relations or employment law Experience in providing leadership to a team, formally or informally and able to manage employees with diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrate effective influencing skills to provide resolution to sophisticated and highly critical employee relations matters
- Proven track record of demonstrating good judgment and experience assessing risk
- Ability to use data to inform decisions and drive action
- Solid verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to anticipate potential issues and diagnose root cause through listening and enquiry
- Ability to work enthusiastically across diverse organizations
- Demonstrate dedication to helping employees and managers BE successful and achieving those results in alignment with values
- BE an effective collaborator.
- You will BE based in either our Paris office and some travel may BE required. We work in a hybrid environment with on-site presence three days per week.
