About us

Cristóbal Balenciaga founded the House in 1917 in his home of Spain. In 1937, he established the brand in Paris, designing its collections there until 1968. Cristóbal Balenciaga had a reputation as a couturier of uncompromising standards and was referred to as "the master of us all" by Christian Dior and as The Couturier of the Couturiers by Gabrielle Chanel. The ultra-modern shapes were trademarks of the house.

While the brand's identity is firmly rooted in its highly conceptual prêt-à-porter collections, its leather goods, footwear, and accessories experience worldwide success as well. Among the archetypal products of the House are its handbag collections. A new focus on the development of Balenciaga ready-to-wear collections for men was quickly established as highly successful.

Since October 2015, Demna has designed both men's and women's collections as the artistic director.

The Balenciaga House, part of the Kering group since 2001, is one of the most influential names in fashion.

We are currently seeking a E-Business Buying Manager who will report to the E-Business Director.Description de poste

Your opportunity

You will join the E-Business team and will BE responsible for developing and supporting the merchandising strategy for Balenciaga.com and our E-Retail partnerships, across all product categories (Ready-to-Wear, Shoes, Leather Goods, etc.) on a global scale.

You will report to the E-Business Director and work in close collaboration with the Central Merchandising teams.

How you will contribute
- Buying strategy : Define and develop the merchandising strategy for E-Commerce and E-Retail platforms to achieve the growth and topline targets, in collaboration with the regions and Central Merchandising.
- OTB : Review OTBs for each channel and region in collaboration with Central Business Planning.
- Buying session : Prepare and lead the buying session in showroom to build the most relevant E-Commerce assortment in line with each region's E-Commerce strategy and business objectives.
- Carry-overs : Monitor performance and needs for carry-over products, define the assortment per platform, and ensure stock coverage in collaboration with Supply Chain.
- Visual Merchandising : collaborate with the E-Merchandising team to provide online e-VM recommendations based on the buying strategy, product launch strategy, and stock availability.
- Sales Analysis : Monitor sales by category and channel; implement action plans with the regions, Central Merchandising, Supply Chain, and E-Business Performance to support product performance and ensure sales targets are met.
- Exclusives and Pre-launches : Identify opportunities; contribute to the 360° activation plan based on E-Commerce purchases and local demands, in coordination with Central Merchandising and the E-Merchandising team.
- Marketing Recommendations : Define product shooting needs for E-Commerce based on key investments.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : With Regions, E-Merchandising, Media, CRM teams etc.

Who you are
- A professionnal with at least 5 years of experience in Retail Merchandising and/or Buying within the Fashion or Luxury industry, including a first successful experience in team management. Previous exposure to E-Commerce or Digital environments would BE a strong advantage.
- Able to work in a fast international environment, on tight schedule and adapting to different requests
- You have Strong analytical skills with a performance-driven mindset.
- You are detail-oriented, highly committed, and rigorous, with a strong work ethic.
- You have a strong fashion sensitivity, solid product understanding, and good knowledge of the market and competition.
- Fluent in English, French is a plus.
- You master the office pack, especially Excel.
