Lesaffre - Working together to better nourish and protect the planet.We are seeking an experienced collection manager to join our teamdedicated to the management and the enrichment of our microorganisms collections.

Our Scope :Wemanage, enrich and characterize our microorganisms collection in order to select the best microorganism for industrial biotechnology applications.

As aManager of Research Microorganisms Collection, your main responsibilities will BE :
- Define and implement the strategy for the microorganisms collection development and management, in line with the department's vision and objectives
- Supervise and coordinate the scientific, technical and operational teams involved in the collection
- Ensure the quality, reliability and comprehensiveness of the collection by implementing rigorous procedures
- Identify and drive new opportunities to enrich and leverage the collection, in line with the needs of the group's various activities
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure the achievement of objectives
- Represent the collection to internal and external stakeholders
- Manage and optimize resources, budget and people allocated to the collection

Le profil recherché

- Advanced degree in microbiology, biology or a related field
- 5-10 years of proven experience in managing a microorganisms collection or a microbiological research laboratory
- Excellent scientific and technical knowledge in microbiology
- Demonstrated team management and project management skills
- Sense of innovation and anticipation of needs
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a cross-functional manner
- Proficiency in management and performance monitoring tools
- Broad competences with diverse microorganisms (yeast, bacteria, fungi) is a plus.
