This record of success has been achieved through some 15 strategic acquisitions, a long-standing program of investment in R&D and focussing on profitable, niche, products, particularly in the biocontrol domain. As a result, the company is now poised to achieve even more dramatic growth over the next five years as demand for its innovative, bio-based, products continues to expand.
This new and senior role, which functions as number two to the company's CEO, has been created to enable the company to continue to respond effectively to the ever-changing needs of agricultural sector customers. IT centres around implementing the Group's bio-solutions strategy internationally, taking on the operational management of some 22 international operating companies, and working closely with the senior management team on new acquisition projects. As a member of the Senior Management Committee, the role holder will also play a key part in developing DE SANGOSSE's future international business strategy and structure.
Position Objective :
Reporting to the Executive Management and as a member of the Executive Committee (CODIR), the COO will :
Implement the Group's international Biosolutions strategy in collaboration with international operating company subsidiary directors and the Business/Marketing departments.
Coordinate the international Biosolutions strategy by leveraging the decentralized and autonomous culture of the international operating companies foreign subsidiaries.
Main Responsibilities :
- Strategy & Performance : Achieve international targets for EBITDA, revenue, and profitability.
- Subsidiary Management : Ensure effective management of international operating companies subsidiaries and provide senior commercial expertise.
- External Growth : Identify acquisition targets and participate in their integration.
Operational Missions :
- Assess and consolidate 5-years plans and annual budgets.
- Monitor the implementation of development plans.
- Conduct performance reviews of the teams under their supervision.
- Support teams in commercial development.
- Actively participate in executive committee meetings.
Working Location : Flexible home office base in Europe, 50% to 70% travel requirement globally.
Le profil recherché
Requirements :
- Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in agronomy, biology, chemistry or similar + an advanced business qualification, such as an MBA
- Fluent in English, with reasonable fluency in Spanish and French
- Solid experience in international business management in the crop protection and/or biocontrol fields
- Comprehensive knowledge of the global bio-solutions markets
- Good financial and business management skills (income statements, budgets etc.)
- Proven success in managing culturally diverse teams in the industry
- Strong operational, analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Highly motivated, a self-starter, ambitious
