Within Electrical and Propulsion Domain, reporting to the Wheelset & Drive system Commodity Director, the Commodity Manager will BE in charge of wheelset and Bearings category ~300M€/y with a worldwide supplier foortprint.

The Commodity team you will lead, is insterfacing and leading an extended network acrros Alstom'sproduct management, project teams and the suppliers in order to secure the supply of core bogie component technologies. You will BE accountable for the performance of your category as well in charge of formalizing and deploying worldwide sourcing strategies,

The position requires open mindness and a wide ange of interest around market dynamics, negotiation, pricing, manufacturing processes and risk management (geopolitical, financial, technology...)

In your role you will in particular :

Lead a team of 2 commodity leaders
Animate and coordinate a large networkacross Alstom globalorganization to ensure business objectives are met end to end from tenders to projects in strict compliance with procurement processes.
Build and drive comprehensive strategy in close coordination with Product managers and Alstom Regional orgnizationin charge of tenders and projects
Optimize commodity procurement performance through transversalcost improvement initiative, tactical plan, muli-scenario analysis and benchmarking.
Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs, market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence and drive procurement decisions.

Business school or Engineering degree preferably complementedwith a degree in Purchasing
Minimum of 10years working experience in an Industrial and international matricial purchasing organization
Fluent english
Proven track record inleading sourcing, purchasing, negotiation
Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize data and make recommendations.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organizations internally and externally.
Ability to effectively handle multiple and sometimes competing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other functions.
Strong computer skills
Frequent travels expected
