In this REMOTE role, you must BE based in EUROPE.

What is the purpose of the role?

The Global Category leader- Flow E&I will report into Global Category Management Team Leader. You will have circa an ~$80M spend portfolio and will BE responsible for developing, validating and implementing the global Procurement strategy for sub-categories within the portfolio.

You will work with with Procurement Project/Product Leaders, Regional Category Leader, Technology, and Supply Chain Leaders.

What are the day to day duties?
- Define a Global Category Strategy for assigned Categories that drives continuous improvement within the Category and benefits to the business
- Develop/Manage Preferred Supplier Network and Strategic Suppliers
- Define Contracting Strategy and lead Supplier Negotiations
- Drive Cash Improvements across assigned Categories
- Mitigate Risks to the business by driving a comprehensive strategy that builds a flexible supply chain and ensures continuity of supply
- Develop Best Cost Country strategy
- Drive supplier relationship management processes
- Report to Leadership on Market Trends and Category Performance
- General understanding of Direct material categories and water treatment technologies (products and operations).
- Familiarity with market trends and key suppliers in the relevant Categories.
- Knowledge of Supply base for Valves, Pipes & Fittings, Instruments, Analyzers, RO Pressure vessels
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, capable of developing presentations and comfortable interacting with internal/external stakeholders and Water Tech senior management.

Le profil recherché

What skills and background will you likely have?
- Bachelor's degree or time-served experience
- Solid experience in Category/Supplier Management, Purchasing, Production Control, Engineering, Product or Project management
- Experience in procurement of items in Flow, Electrical and Instrumentation Category
- Ability to travel - estimated to BE 30% annually
