Mission
The Materials Director EMEA is in charge of developing the material and circular economy strategy for the EMEA Division in close liaison with the Keystone organization.
You will supervise in a matrix organization the production and sales of :
- Natural aggregates from quarries,
- Ready-mixed concrete (RMC) and its related activities (prefabrication, etc.),
- Circular Economy (Demolition, Inert/Non inert landfilling, Recycled aggregates, Soil Remediation and Depollution),
The Materials Director reports to the Managing Director of the EMEA Division and works in close cooperation with the regional and countries organization (more than 20 countries).
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the definition of the Materials strategy in the Division within the framework defined by the Group (Ambitions 2030) and to develop and coordinate the strategic plans within the entities.
- Define and ensure the implementation of the sales strategy within the Division
- Participate in the integration of new perimeters into the Group in close cooperation with the countries, and support green fields projects
- Manage operational excellence within the Division in close cooperation with the Keystone department and the countries, monitor performance using KPIs, improve tools and processes, optimize the asset portfolio and industrial tools, and enhance pricing strategies.
- Review and challenge budgets and action plans prepared by the entities in the Division. Ensure continuous follow-up of business performance and challenge results.
- Optimize and monitor the CAPEX (instruction and monitoring of any project of investment or divestment).
- Participate in the development of the Circular Economy with the support of the person in charge and with the support of the countries.
- Animate the network of managers and experts working for materials activities in all the countries of the Division (participation in recruitment of key managers and people review process for identification of talent and succession plan; identification and sharing of good practices).
- Implement corporate programs on Low Carbon & Biodiversity (ACT), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the group's Code of Ethics and One Safety projects on the Materials activities.

- Expertise in the main activities (Aggregates, Circular Economy, etc.), both at the technical and commercial levels
- Interpersonal and communication skills in a multicultural and international context

- Fluent in English and French
- Availability for frequent business trips.
The position is based in Paris with regular travel obligations within Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
