Compliance Officer

Reporting to Head of Ethics & Compliance

Main objectives

* Support on all aspects of compliance (anti-corruption, duty of care, international sanctions, ethical business)
* Coordinate and conduct due diligence on third parties

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

The post holder assists the Group Head of Ethics & Compliance in a number of tasks, including the following :

* Contribute to the drafting of policies, procedures and processes applicable to the Group;
* Implement and control the various policies under the Compliance team's responsibility;
* Assist and advise operational teams on a daily basis in the implementation of policies and procedures under the Compliance team's responsibility;
* Perform due diligence on third parties;
* Assist in the definition of a new process for third party due diligence;
* Coordinate internal stakeholders in the performance of third-party due diligence;
* Develop, lead and participate in the delivery of various compliance training;
* Liaise with HR on Compliance e-learning;
* Manage the whistleblowing platform and assist in internal investigations;
* Update the risk mapping;
* Contribute to the preparation of meetings and workshops;
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the existing compliance program;
* Assist in defining compliance plans;
* Draft reports or minutes as needed;
* Use legal design techniques for clarity of documents.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

* Internal : all EMG entities, with a particular focus on the International Partnership Development team
* External : services providers

PERSONAL PROFILE OF POSITION HOLDER

Previous experience

A previous experience of minimum 5 years in a Compliance team is required

Knowledge of data protection is a plus

Education level / certificates

Law degree with a compliance component/certification - master of law (ethics and compliance)

Languages

English and French fluent required, a third language would a plus

Computer skills and software used

Google's Office suite, ease in familiarizing with other tools (third-party due diligence whistleblowing)

Personal characteristics

MAJOR AREAS OF COMPETENCY NECESSARY FOR SUCCESS

Knowledge of anti-corruption (mainly Loi Sapin II and FCPA), duty of care, international sanctions management

Ability to work in an agile environment, to BE autonomous and to BE business oriented

Le profil recherché

Ideally holding a Master's degree (Level 2) in Law with a specialization or certification in Compliance, you have at least 5 years of experience as a Compliance Officer within an international environment.

You possess strong knowledge of anti-corruption laws (notably the Sapin II law and the FCPA), due diligence obligations, and the management of international sanctions.

You are fluent in both French and English (proficiency in English is mandatory).

You are recognized for your rigor, organization, open-mindedness, autonomy, and proactivity. Your dynamism, curiosity, collaborative spirit, and strong sense of service will set you apart. You are creative and passionate about topics related to ethics and corporate reputation.
