About the role :
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will responsible for developing specialized maintenance solutions (machines, tooling, and/or processes) involving machining, welding, metrology, non-destructive testing, and/or handling activities.
You will report to the Product Manager and BE located at Marseille or Chaponnay.
Key Responsibilities :
- Defining intervention strategies and tooling concepts during the bidding phase·
- Technical management of design, manufacturing, acceptance, and qualification activities for tooling
- Participating in workshop acceptance tests
- Writing design, qualification, and implementation documentation·
- Technical coordination of subcontractors and various Westinghouse departments in France and abroad
- Participating in workshop testing, development, and qualification of tooling· Preparing training materials and delivering operator training sessions
- Providing technical support to field teams
Qualifications :
- Master's degree (Bac +5) in general or mechanical engineering, or equivalent
- 8 to 15 years of experience in design or manufacturing projects
- Passion for mechanics and special-purpose machinery
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong writing skills and ability to synthesize information
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Inventor and AutoCAD
- Proficient in EUROCODES
- Knowledge of the Machinery Directive
- Knowledge and experience in the nuclear field and RCC-M regulations are highly valued
