Are you a proactive and analytical professional passionate about optimizing processes, leveraging data, and contributing to impactful product launches within a dynamic healthcare environment? As our EMEA Strategy & Functional Excellence Lead, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the operational efficiency of our regional Medical Affairs team and ensuring strategic alignment with global initiatives. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, coordinating vital insights, and supporting the successful introduction of innovative IVD products across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
This position reports directly to the Vice President Medical Affairs, EMEA, and is a key member of the regional Medical Affairs leadership team. This role, alongside the EMEA Strategic Study Lead and EMEA Medical Education & Communication Lead, forms the core engine of our Regional Medical Affairs efforts, driving impact for the company and ensuring seamless coordination with our new global Medical Affairs organization.
What will your responsibilities be?
This role is central to defining and enhancing the operational frameworks that support our EMEA Medical Affairs activities, while also acting as a critical link to global strategic insights and launch preparedness.
Functional Excellence & Process Transformation:
* Process Definition & Implementation: Collaborate with Global Medical Affairs and regional stakeholders to define, implement, and optimize core processes for the EMEA Medical Affairs team, ensuring alignment and consistency.
* CRM & KPI Framework: Drive the implementation and adoption of the CRM platform within the EMEA Medical Affairs team, including the development and monitoring of clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess field activity impact and team effectiveness.
* KOL Engagement Framework: Coordinate the regional rollout and adherence to the Key Opinion Leader (KOL) framework, promoting a structured approach to engagement planning with Key Strategic Experts aligned with team objectives.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within regional Medical Affairs operations, working with relevant teams to implement solutions.
Strategy & Insights Coordination:
* Global Strategy & Insights Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the EMEA regional Medical Affairs team and the Global Strategy & Insights team, facilitating seamless communication and alignment.
* Insights Gathering: Coordinate and support insights gathering activities from local/cluster Medical Affairs teams, ensuring relevant market and scientific intelligence flows effectively to global teams to inform product development and medical positioning.
Launch Excellence:
* New Product Launch Preparedness: Coordinate and ensure the implementation of launch excellence frameworks within EMEA Medical Affairs, working closely with global and local teams to properly prepare for the launch of new IVD products.
* Cross-functional Alignment (Launches): Collaborate with Global and EMEA Marketing, Global R&D, and other relevant functions to ensure medical affairs perspectives are integrated into launch plans and strategies.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
* Work closely with the other regional Medical Affairs Leads (e.g., Studies, Medical Education & Communication), local Medical Directors, and MSLs to foster synergistic efforts and achieve common goals.
* Contribute to regional Medical Affairs leadership discussions by providing insights on operational effectiveness and strategic alignment.

We are looking for a highly organized, analytical, and collaborative professional eager to drive operational excellence and strategic coordination within a complex, matrixed organization.
Education & Experience:
* Master's degree in a scientific, medical, business, or related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD) is a strong plus.
* 1-3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or IVD company, preferably within Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Project Management, or a related function. Experience in a regional or global role is beneficial.
Skills & Competencies:
* Project Coordination & Execution: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate projects, and drive initiatives to completion in a timely manner.
* Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights to support process improvement and strategic decisions.
* Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and build effective relationships across diverse teams and cultures.

Languages:
* Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. Fluency in an additional major European language is an asset.
* IVD Knowledge: Familiarity with in vitro diagnostics, clinical laboratories, or related fields is desirable.
Travel: Approximately 10-20% travel throughout the EMEA region
