What you'll do
Join a team of passionate and hardworking entrepreneurs to transform healthcare! Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative services and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with engineering, design, and business teams. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join Doctolib's Automation Platform team in our Platform Engineering domain. In this role, you will spearhead critical infrastructure automation, tooling, and release engineering initiatives. Your primary objective will be to architect and implement robust CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code solutions, and automated testing frameworks that enable our engineering organization to deliver with confidence and velocity. You'll collaborate with engineering teams to design and deploy scalable tooling that transforms manual processes into automated workflows-essentially building the technical foundation that allows our developers to be self-sufficient in deploying high-quality software.
Your expertise in containerization, observability, and deployment automation will be instrumental in evolving our Internal Developer Services, creating a technical ecosystem where our 70+ feature teams can seamlessly manage their infrastructure needs, automate quality gates, and reliably deploy production-ready code with minimal friction.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with Feature teams: You will work closely with our Feature teams, ensuring that the services align with the needs and requirements of our developers
- Driving improvements: You will continuously evaluate new technologies and processes, striving for enhancements, and implementing them as necessary to optimize our development practices
- Defining best practices: You will be responsible for defining best practices, known as "golden paths," for software development and deployment. This includes automation, testing, and security measures, in collaboration with our SREs, Security teams, and other domain experts
- Developing and maintaining tools and services: You will create and maintain tools and services that facilitate the implementation of best practices. These resources will assist developers in building and deploying applications more efficiently
- Ensuring reliability, scalability, traceability, and monitoring: You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, traceability, and monitoring of our services and infrastructure
- Collaborating on roadmap delivery: You will actively contribute to the delivery of roadmap items, working closely with the rest of the team to achieve our collective goals
Who you are
Are you convinced you have what it takes? We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every requirement. You could be our next team mate if you:
- You have at least 5+ years of site reliability engineering experience, including experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions supporting applications deployment developed on the JVM and/or TypeScript
- You are proactive, curious, collaborative and eager to learn
- You have proven experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- You have a solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
- You have proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Java, Ruby, Python etc.) and a deep understanding of infrastructure as code principles
Now, it would be fantastic if you:
- Have experience with test frameworks such as Junit, Jest, Vitest, Playwright and/or Capybara and different test tools such as PACT for contract testing, Gatling for load testing
- Have experience with Datadog, Sonarqube and/or Backstage
- Have experience in managing a multi service environment
- Are opinionated about what the best developer experience looks like
- Consider Developers as your "customers"
