We are looking for an Engineer Manager (H/F) for our Colombelles office.As Engineering Manager, you'll play a central role in shaping and scaling our engineering organization. You'll ensure our teams are empowered, effective, and aligned - enabling the real-time control of hundreds of MWs across multiple markets.

Reporting directly to the CTO and working within a multi-country team, you'll split your time across people leadership, collaboration with Product, organizational scalability, and engineering excellence.

People & Team Management - 50%

- Lead and coach two feature teams (around 10 people in total).
- Set clear goals, foster individual growth, and cultivate a positive, high-performance culture.
- Support career development and mentoring for your team members, in collaboration with our technical experts.

Product Collaboration - 30%

- Act as a duo with the Product Manager to align product vision and technical execution.
- Help to translate product vision into clear and pragmatic long-term technical initiatives.
- Balance delivery speed, technical debt, and long-term investments in partnership with the PM.

Organizational Scalability - 10%

- Contribute to the structuring and scaling of the engineering organization as it grows.
- Drive recruitment, onboarding, and the development of future technical and people leaders.
- Help design the organization, optimize collaboration across teams, and ensure alignment with company strategy.

Engineering excellence - 10%

- Promote best practices in software engineering (code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability).
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with other Engineering Managers and technical experts to streamline delivery and ensure consistency across teams.

Le profil recherché

Core requirements

- Background in software development, with good understanding of modern engineering practices.
- First experience in managing people (as team lead, engineering manager, or similar).
- Fluent in French (spoken and written) and comfortable in English at a professional level.

Leadership & Mindset

- Good communicator, able to explain ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Focused on supporting people's growth and creating a healthy team culture.
- Able to balance short-term delivery with longer-term structure and scalability.
- Pragmatic and improvement-oriented: looks for better ways of working without over-engineering.
- Works well across teams and functions, building strong collaboration.
