LOCATION

Internship based at the Lons-le-Saunier (39) Development Center.
Travel within France required.

YOUR MISSIONS

Within the central Packaging Breakthrough Innovation team, you will report to the Packaging Innovation Manager.

After a training period on our tools and methods, you will quickly be given responsibility across the full scope of a packaging innovation manager's missions and will contribute to various areas, notably on two projects: the development of an eco-designed packaging solution for Mini Babybel, and the development of reusable packaging.

The Packaging Innovation Manager's main tasks are to identify, test, and open new technological and material pathways for the Group. They must address consumers' environmental expectations in line with the Group's CSR packaging policy.

- Study and identify material innovations that will revolutionize our packaging offer.

- Design and steer the most relevant technical solutions for the projects, taking into account:

- The eco-design approach defined by the Bel Group.

- The development of packaging that embodies each brand's identity and enhances user/consumer experience.

- Understand and identify constraints and enable transformation with internal and external partners (engineering, factories, packaging suppliers, packaging machinery suppliers, subcontractors, etc.).

- Mobilize expertise (packaging, engineering, quality, regulatory affairs, CSR, procurement) and resources (new equipment, pilot trials, R&D lab characterization) needed to achieve project objectives, with the goal of accelerating development timelines.

- Conduct field test plans (Bel plants or subcontractors).

You will also provide support to the Packaging Breakthrough Innovation team on identified technical topics.

YOUR PROFILE

- You are a final-year student, ideally with initial experience in packaging development.

- Rigorous and motivated, you enjoy working as part of a team.

- You possess strong analytical and synthesis skills.

- Proactive and creative, you are keen to work on alternatives to single-use packaging.

- You are fluent in English.

- You have a valid internship agreement.

- You are in the final year of an engineering program specializing in packaging or equivalent.

Packaging
Strong overall technical skills and good knowledge of packaging development within the food industry as well as product/packaging interaction.
Experience with packaging analysis and characterization techniques.
Knowledge of reusable packaging solutions would be a plus.
