Internship - Flight Operations Engineer - ai Development H/F - CMA CGM

Since 1978, our Group has been constantly growing and innovating to offer its customers increasingly efficient maritime, land, air, and logistics solutions. Driven by a strong desire to design ever more effective solutions to serve a world in motion, the Group launched CMA CGM AIR CARGO in 2021, thereby expanding its transport and logistics offering. It has also recently grown with the acquisition of the Belgian company "Air Belgium."Already equipped with a fleet of 4 long-haul aircraft (1 A330F and 3 B777Fs), it will be further reinforced with eight Airbus A350Fs by 2027, making CMA CGM AIR CARGO the launch operator of this new aircraft. Moreover, thanks to support from a partner, AIR CARGO now operates on the transpacific route with two additional B777Fs that we own.

MISSION DESCRIPTION:

As an AI Development Intern within the Flight Operations Engineering department, you will play a key role in expanding the use of Artificial Intelligence across CMA CGM Air Cargo.

Building on the work of a previous intern, who initiated several promising AI projects, your mission will be to continue developing and scaling these initiatives, as well as identify new opportunities where AI can create value for the airline.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Contributing to the design and implementation of AI solutions for existing use cases.
- Analyzing processes and identifying new opportunities where AI can bring measurable improvement.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn ideas into operational Proofs of Concept.
- Designing and supporting change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of AI tools across the organization (flight crews, operations control, ground staff, etc.).

This internship offers a unique opportunity to discover airline operations from the inside within a human[1]sized and fast-growing company. You will also work on day-to-day activities of the Flight Operations Engineering team, like Flight Feasibility studies, Aircraft Performance analysis...

You will have a direct impact on the development of innovative technologies and will strengthen your analytical and data-driven skills while contributing to CMA CGM Air Cargo's digital transformation.

PROFILE:

- You are pursuing an engineering degree.
- Familiarity with data science or machine learning concepts is a plus.
- You have strong analytical and organizational skills.
- You are autonomous, proactive, dynamic, and rigorous.
