For more information, visit Follow us on .Eaton is seeking aCommunications Director EMEA, to act as a strategic enabler and lead all external and internal communications in the region.

What you'll do:

This experienced communications leader will leverage a thoughtful communications strategy to help the company and regional leadership teams achieve their strategic growth and financial goals and elevate Eaton's reputation in the region. In partnership with your EMEA Communications team and other key stakeholders, you'll improve employee performance and engagement, increase leader effectiveness and trust, reduce organizational risk exposure and build preference for the Eaton brand with employees, partners, customers and communities.

- Drive a culture of daring, transparent leadership where trust, accountability and continuous learning are at the core of how we show up and work together.
- Partner and collaborate with global and local communications and business leaders to ensure the company strategy is relevant to all EMEA audiences. Effectively localize and deploy this strategy and other key campaigns within the region.
- Optimize Communications Team resources toward the highest-value work. Actively eliminate and reject low-value work while managing a team budget.
- Develop and drive Eaton positioning with internal and external stakeholders (employees, customers, competitors, government agencies, suppliers, partners).
- Lead, evaluate and develop a high-performing team of dedicated communications professionals to ensure continual learning, engagement and retention. Successfully manage and organize a dispersed team over multiple locations and different countries to deliver results.
- Design, implement and optimize procedures and processes to support the communications strategies, along with metrics to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency and output of those processes.
- Prepare, review and approve impactful communication materials like speeches, articles, press releases, talking points and communication plans.
- Grow Eaton's relationships with, and coverage in, regional media strategy in alignment with the corporate media strategy.
- Play the role of spokesperson, when needed. Develop relationships with business leadership to increase the pool of spokespersons and ensure they're trained for media, crisis or issues. Act as a professional, senior representative of Eaton in internal and external events.
- Lead the management of crisis and issues in the region, in collaboration with corporate functional leaders. Ensure regional leadership is ready and capable to effectively support and resolve issues. This includes strong mastery in handling sensitive and strategic projects.
- Drive continued advances in company channel strategy, including internet and intranet as well as other tools and platforms.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by embedding regular performance measurement practices, leveraging data to inform decisions, utilizing AI in greater ways and consistently reporting outcoming to key stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships and alignment with the enterprise Communications team.
- Counsel and advise Region Leadership Team Members on communication approach and message.
- Be the primary Communications team contact for emergency CERT alerts in the region.
- Be resourceful and agile to resolve issues as swiftly and effectively as possible 24/7 across all countries.

Location:

This role will be located in the UK, Ireland, Germany or France. Other EMEA locations may be considered for the right candidate. The travel committment is approximately 30%.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited institution. Master's degree Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing communications within a global multi-national manufacturing organization, including understanding of diverse cultural and market dynamics.
- Proven experience in change management (and/or certification), including developing and implementing change management strategies.
- Experience in leading communication efforts during organizational changes, mergers, acquisitions or other significant transformations.
- Strong understanding of communication platforms, technologies and use of AI to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Complete fluency in written and verbal English communication skills as well as presentation skills.
- Ability to speak other non-English European languages in the region.
