The CMA CGM Group is seeking a Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) Assistant to support the Group DPO in managing and structuring data protection compliance. This position, with strong managerial responsibilities, offers a unique opportunity to grow within an international and multi-industry environment.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Support to the Group DPO:
Assist the Group DPO in organizing and overseeing the compliance function within the Group.
- Coordination of compliance projects:
Supervise compliance initiatives within subsidiaries to ensure adherence to local regulations (in 180 countries) and the Group's Binding Corporate Rules (BCR).
- Support to subsidiaries:
Assist subsidiaries in their compliance efforts, taking into account local and sector-specific requirements (shipping, logistics, media, specialized transport, etc.).
- Audit and inspection management:
Participate in planning and monitoring internal and external data protection audits.
- Awareness and training:
Develop awareness programs for employees on data protection best practices.
- Regulatory monitoring:
Ensure legal and technical monitoring of developments in local and international data protection laws.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Excellent knowledge of at least one major data protection regulation (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Strong understanding of compliance-related and data governance project management.
- Experience in an international environment and in managing multi-jurisdictional issues.
- Strong abilities in strategic planning, priority management, and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation skills to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and communication skills.
- Business-oriented mindset to support operational entities in their projects.
- Master's degree in law, IT, or management with a specialization in data protection.
- Significant experience in a similar role or in managing complex compliance-related projects.
- Fluency in English; an additional language is a plus.
- Experience in an international or multi-industry group is highly desirable.
