Pioneer of online flash sales since 2001 and key player in European e-commerce, Veepee collaborates with over 7,000 brands to offer highly discounted products available for a limited time. Operating across various sectors, including fashion, home, wine, travel or beauty... Veepee achieved a turnover of 3.3 billion euros incl. VAT in 2024 and employs 5,000 staff members across 10 countries.

As a lead developer directly integrated in a team handling part of our zero vendor lock-in, fully open-source private cloud, VeepeeCloud. Your role will be to define technical guidelines for the team depending on the technical needs. You will work very closely with the Product Owner but also developers, SRE, etc.

Technical Environment: --> Development, Operations and Maintenance of VeepeeCloud services, such as:Private cloud APIs (Compute, Storage, DNS, Certificates, NLBaaS, etc)Terraform provider, allowing internal users to consume cloud resourcesCLI client--> Development, Operations and Maintenance of our Content Server, responsible for media publication on Veepee's websiteimages processing (resizing, conversion, compression, etc)video processing (resizing, transcoding, compression, etc)media publication API, allowing time-bound media publicationCDN warmer--> Development, Operations and Maintenance of our Generative AI gatewayLLM Provider integrationConsumer API development + API calls translationLLM consumption accounting
Responsibilities:

- Choose the most appropriate technologies regarding the needs
- Discuss the trade-offs between architectural choices, both on a theoretical level and on an applied level
- Discuss infrastructure decisions with SREs
- Give guidelines and make sure the team is following them
- Guarantee a high quality of code with respect to the processes
- Management of a team of developers and direct reporting to the Head of Cloud Engineering

Requirements:

- Senior level with previous experience as a Team Lead including management
- Excellent coding abilities in at least one of our core programming languages: Go, Rust or Scala
- Hands-on experience with Devops tools, such as Kubernetes, Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience as an SRE/DevOps would be preferable but not mandatory
- Ability to learn on the go.
- We're looking for software engineers who quickly pick up new technologies or new APIs
- Strong knowledge in monitoring, fault-tolerance, durability, and scalability in multi datacenter environment
- Agile follower and open source contributor
- Result and product-oriented
- Good English level.
