Valeo's Site located in Paris, 17th arrondissement (320 employees) is the Group's Headquarters. It houses the general management of the Group's transversal functions.
We are looking for a Consolidation Manager.
Your responsibilities:
Legal Entities Portfolio
- Coordinate the reporting of actual data on a monthly basis
- Monitor the intercompany reconciliation process and the arbitration process
- Prepare internal restructuring requirements for consolidation purpose
- Review the tax reporting package and coordinate the production of tax planning
- Follow up of the entities performances and implementation of actions plans to improve the quality of financial data
- Follow up changes in the legal and operational scopes
- Manage the communication with the entities : pre-closing meetings, highlight key items in Group Instructions.
- Facilitate trainings depending on local needs (new internal or external standards, quality issues, newcomers)
- Primary contact person at Group Accounting Department: hotline, answer to questions raised...
- Review equity reconciliation, balance sheet review ...
- Monitor the process of issuance of statutory accounts
- Ensure that all items raised by external auditors are cleared
- Prepare some synthesis on the followed-up scope of entities
Transversal Tasks
- Prepare syntheses on some captions of the consolidated financial statements (cash flow statement, other income and expenses, equity, fixed assets, equity method review, taxes, change in scope...)
- Prepare training material
- Follow up changes in the reporting tools and update the internal procedures, user guides and the internal web pages
- Follow up realized or contemplated Mergers & Acquisitions and simulation of consolidation impacts (M&A, changes in standards)
- Ensure the follow-up of Purchase Price Allocation processes
- Follow up tasks with other departments to improve the quality of internal processes.
Division
- Validate the elimination of internal margin in inventories
- Support the division with reporting issues and consolidation adjustments
- Perform consistency checks and validations on reported financial data
- Contribute to Group Ethics & Compliance program by applying and respecting code of Ethics and Valeo's policies.
About you:
- 3 to 5 years' minimum experience in audit, consolidation or financial controlling
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Audit (Business School, DSCG, Master CCA or equivalent)
- A good knowledge of IFRS standards and consolidation techniques, and Excel skills
- Rigorous, reliable, with strong analytical and synthesis skills, curious with a strong team spirit and communication skills
- Fluent in professional English, both written and spoken
