Location: Antwerpen, Belgium
Contract Duration: 6 months (short-term)
Potential Extension: Yes - possibility to continue after first contract

We are supporting a key project in Antwerpen, Belgium, during a critical commissioning phase.

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to oversee and ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance during the commissioning stage of the project.

This is a short-term assignment (6 months) with strong potential for extension or involvement in future projects within Ponticelli's portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all HSE activities during the commissioning phase
- Ensure full compliance with:
- Belgian HSE regulations
- Borealis HSE standards
- Ponticelli internal procedures
- Develop and implement commissioning-specific HSE plans and risk assessments
- Supervise and coordinate site HSE team and contractors
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions
- Monitor high-risk activities (SIMOPS, energization, testing, confined spaces, lifting operations, etc.)
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Ensure proper reporting of HSE KPIs and site performance
- Interface directly with Borealis HSE representatives
- Promote a strong safety culture and proactive risk prevention mindset

Proven experience as HSE Manager in industrial projects

Strong experience in commissioning phase (mandatory)

Background in:

- Oil & Gas
- Petrochemical
- Chemical plants
- Industrial construction
- Good knowledge of European HSE standards
- Familiarity with Belgian regulations is a strong advantage
- Strong leadership and coordination skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent English (Dutch or French is a plus)
