About the Role
Westinghouse is seeking a QHSERP Engineer to support nuclear field operations across EDF sites and Westinghouse facilities.
You will play a key role in ensuring firsttime quality, enforcing worldclass HSE standards, and guaranteeing compliance with radiation protection (RP) requirements during maintenance, inspection, and modification projects.
You will act as an independent, onsite authority for Quality, Health & Safety, and Radioprotection topics, with the mandate to stop work if unsafe or noncompliant conditions are identified.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
- Verify that project documentation, LDA, DSI, organizational charts, and personnel qualifications are accurate and up to date.
- Perform verifications and hold points on site in accordance with project inspection plans.
- Review and assess RFI and SRCI packages.
- Record observations, support lessons learned, and track non-conformities (FC/FNC) through closure.
- Support the project team in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Contribute to final quality reviews and project documentation.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure compliance with Westinghouse's HSE management system and applicable site regulations.
- Conduct regular field safety supervision and coach work crews to reinforce safe behaviors.
- Review and update risk assessments, PPSPS, and HSE controls.
- Manage safety events: reporting, evidence gathering, immediate actions, and CAP initiation.
- Liaise with EDF for PDP, PGCSPS and all required HSE documentation.
- Support and/or deliver site HSE onboarding when required.
- Lead HSE toolbox talks and ensure correct deployment of signage, barricading and safety equipment.
Radiation Protection (RP)
- Act as the RP representative by delegation of the Westinghouse Radiation Protection Advisor.
- Prepare dosimetric forecasts (EDP), RTR and PREVAIR inputs for EDF projects.
- Verify compliance with radiological controls, contamination levels (C2, C3), and protective equipment.
- Track individual dose records, collective doses, trends, deviations, and contamination cases.
- Participate in ALARA committees and ensure ALARA principles are applied.
- Manage dosimeter issuance, retrieval, emergency processing and reporting in case of radiological events.
CrossFunctional Leadership
- Participate in weekly project meetings and technical reviews.
- Contribute to project kickoff, pre-job briefings, and end-of-work debriefings.
- Support QHSE continuous improvement initiatives, training, and crossentity working groups.
- Act as QHSERP focal point for project teams, subcontractors, and EDF representatives.
Deliverables
- Weekly QHSE-RP status reports
- Daily field observation entries
- Safety or RP event reports (CES, KZC, CAP, etc.)
- Quality inspection records (RFI, verifications, supervision logs)
- End-of-project QHSE-RP report including lessons learned

Qualifications & Skills
- Engineering degree (Master's level) or equivalent experience in Quality, HSE, or Radioprotection.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear site regulations, EDF requirements (e.g., NTAQ 85/114), and QHSERP standards.
- Certifications (preferred):
- Radiation Protection (PCR level 2 / RP2-RP1)
- SCN1/SCN2, CSQ, HN3, M0H0B0
- SST, fire extinguisher handling, PPE training
- RCCM knowledge appreciated
- Experience in inspection, maintenance or fabrication in regulated environments.
- Strong field presence, autonomy and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent reporting, communication and coaching skills.
- Fluency in English and French.
