HM.Clause, business unit of the Limagrain Group, is a global leader in the development, production, and marketing of vegetable seeds. HM.Clause is one of the top five vegetable seed companies in the world.HM.Clause is recruiting a Product Manager (M/F) for broccoli and carrot, on a permanent contract based in Portes-lès-Valence (26) or Angers (49), started in early April. Reporting to the Portfolio Lead and working within an international team, the Product Manager (M/F) manages a portfolio of varieties (broccoli and carrot) across all markets and its development within their geographical area. He/she contributes to medium- and long-term research directions in collaboration with breeders and to the development of turnover and margins.
Species strategy: Develop the strategy and coordinate actions/projects related to the implementation of this strategy with all internal stakeholders. Develop new concepts and products in collaboration with breeders, product development and sales teams.
Product lifecycle management: Ensure rigorous management of the product lifecycle. Lead the new product launch process. Coordinate new product development plans with breeders and product development teams.
Commercial prospects and product communication: Support sales teams with appropriate recommendations. Challenge development plans and sales forecasts. Monitor and control the implementation of the product promotion strategy, in line with the overall strategic plan for the species.
Market knowledge: Update market information worldwide and identify trends and future demands. Maintain active monitoring of the competition.
Seed technology: Identify and monitor species requirements with the seed technology teams. Support the team in launching seed technology solutions.
This position is eligible for remote working (1 day/week). Regular business travels are expected, particularly in Sain, and in the USA. More occasional business travels may also be required in China, Mexico, and Australia.
Le profil recherché
Master's degree in agricultural engineering, or agronomy.
Proven experience in one of the disciplines of the position (minimum 4 years): breeding, product development, agricultural production, sales, or marketing.
Skills in marketing, product range management, and market analysis.
Fluent in French and English; basic skills in another language would be an advantage, particularly Spanish.
Technical knowledge of vegetable seeds (biology, agronomy, genetics, etc.).
Leadership / Ability to lead cross-functional projects.
Analytical and synthesis skills.
