1. Mission Statement
The Strategic IT Finance Partner supports CIOs and IT VPs in managing, optimizing, and controlling a yearly budget of around €500M. You will act as a trusted advisor to IT VPs on investment and purchasing decisions, financial performance, ensuring the robustness of IT financial processes and providing strategic insights for decision making.
This role reports to the Strategic Finance Partner to the Group CIOs, directly reporting to the CMA CGM Head of Group CIO Office
2. Roles and Responsibilities
You will lead a team of approximately 8 people - mainly internal headcount in Marseille & Lebanon, and external partners in order to address the following missions:
- Budget Management
- Drive the annual budget cycle, including forecasting, tracking, variance analysis, and year end landing
- Produce consolidated financial reports for IT leadership and top management.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all financial data across Build / Run / Evolution. Alert IT leaders of any potential deviations or overspend risks. Provide recommendations on optimal budget allocation and resource utilization
- Purchasing & Investment process management
- Define governance related to Purchase and Investment Requests (PRs) process. Ensure preparation of Sourcing Boards, Group Investment Committees, Domain Reviews
- Understand the objectives, expected value, and Group wide impact of each PR request, and challenge these requests
- Correctly execute workflows in Ariba / Orchestra by your team. Track invoices, commitments and consumption, escalate blockers when needed
- IT cost structure refinement and implementation: Today, our IT cost structure does not allow us to track spending at the right level of granularity. We have therefore launched a Group wide project aimed at refining our cost structure to a more appropriate level of detail. You will actively contribute to this initiative from the IT side, working hand in hand with the Finance department. You will ensure proper rollout of the new model, including change management and adoption.
- Analyses for strategic decision making : Based on the comprehensive data underlying the €500M spend, you will lead strategic analyses aimed at reducing our TCOs while maintaining operational effectiveness

- Strengthen collaboration between Finance, Procurement, and IT domains.
3. Candidate Profile
Experience
- At least 8 years in strategy consulting, financial or IT project management
- Strong understanding of IT organizations and financial management
- Solid knowledge of PMO standards, responsibilities, and methodologies.
- Experience with Airtable (usage and administration), Ariba, and Orchestra is a plus
- Excellent command of PowerPoint and Excel.
