Field Automation Technician - Pv & Scada Systems H/F - Elum Energy

Elum Energy is a fast-growing company based in Paris with offices in Morocco, South Africa, UAE, India, Singapore, Mexico & Brazil specialized in monitoring & control solutions for solar power plants. Elum technology allows for simple and optimized operations of rooftop solar plants or utility scale ground PV plants coupled or not with energy storage systems (batteries) and in some cases with existing thermal generation units (diesel generators).

Our reference customers are constructors (EPCs) and operators (IPPs) of solar power plants and/or energy producers such as TOTAL, ENGIE, GreenYellow, SolarCentury...

Our technology currently equips more than 1000 solar power plants in more than 40 countries, from 100kWp to 100MWp.

Those plants directly power factories & shopping centers for example, are built to feed into the national grid (Europe), or are built to power remote / islanded cities (Caribbean, South Asia or in some African countries).

Our technology, ePowerControl allows to supervise and automatically control these solar hybrid power plants in an efficient way, and its declination in different by-products allows to manage both "simple" type hybrid power plants in self-consumption and more complex power plants of several MWp in grid injection.

You'll be at the heart of French PV project delivery on the ground, hands-on, making sure everything works before it goes live. From factory inspections to onsite commissioning, you'll own the technical execution of field activities and bring Elum's solutions to life. When the team needs you on international projects, you'll be ready for that too.

What you'll own:

Field & Commissioning

- Prepare and review testing protocols
- Conduct low-voltage cabinet visual inspections and electrical verifications
- Configure and test communications, IT equipment (switches, I/O modules, PCs, firewalls), PPC and SCADA solutions
- Be present where it counts - at integrator factories, electrical station facilities, and directly on project sites

Engineering & Design

- Produce electrical drawings of Elum's cabinets using CAD (AutoCAD Electrical)
- Design new device integrations to expand Elum's compatibility with PV inverters, BESS, Genset controllers, and more

Growth & Team

- Share lessons learned and contribute to process and tooling improvements
- Build and deliver training for newcomers and colleagues
- Support teammates across the delivery team
- Identify bugs and product improvements to push Elum's solutions forward

What you bring

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Renewable Energy, or equivalent (DUT, BUT, BTS)
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in PPC & SCADA control systems within the PV industry - field experience is a must
- Solid understanding of HV/LV electrical systems
- Electrical design skills using CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical)
- Knowledge of communication protocols: Modbus, IEC 104, OPC UA, IEC 61850, OCPP
- IT network architecture fluency: VPNs, VLANs, redundancy, OSI/TCP-IP
- Valid driving licence - mandatory
- Bonus: Linux environment knowledge
- Full fluency in French and English - Spanish is a serious plus
