Your opportunity

We are looking for a Line Layout Designer - Precontracting, based in Reichstett - France, part of Regional System Design team in Engineering & Project Management organization. Located near Strasbourg, our site has developed around different areas such as project management, sales, after sales, digital solutions, engineering, integration services and line design and automation. The ideal candidate will have experience in design of line layouts according to customer specifications. He will be responsible to develop the most suitable layout solution for the Customer, ensuring correct integration of Sidel machines and Third-Party Equipment.

Your Mission

Reporting to the Lead Line Designer, your missions will be:

- Accountable for Quality, Cost, Delay projects deliverables (layouts/conveyors quotations) for the assigned new equipment projects.
- Ensure all required statutory and regulatory conditions are being met, including Sidel corporate values, governance and processes.
- Create a collaborative project team environment.
- Effectively engage with Stakeholders.
- Build quality into processes and deliverables.

Group of functional activities critical for the effective delivery of the project:

- Understand customer needs.
- Perform Site Survey and participate in customer meetings.
- Collect inputs from internal Product Divisions and Suppliers to develop engineering layouts for the offer, in line with Company sales strategy to satisfy customer specifications and requirements.
- Accountable for line dimensioning and accumulations calculation, with the purpose to achieve a line efficiency in accordance with standard internal guidelines and customer expectations.
- Prepare conveyors quotation in line with Project Manager Proposal requirements and Customer specifications.
- Integrate all the equipment into the layout, in accordance with safety, ergonomics and efficiency requirements.
- Ensure data collection for project launch and handover with Design Execution Team.

Your Profile

With a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, you possess a solid foundation in mechanical, electrical, and assembly drawings. Your strong communication skills and problem-solving mindset allow you to thrive under pressure, managing multiple tasks and meeting customer deadlines efficiently.

You are proficient in MS Office and have experience working in a CAD environment (AutoCAD 2D, with 3D being a plus).

Fluent level in English is mandatory for this role. A second language would be a plus.

Extra skills that could make the difference:

- First experience as a layout designer in the beverage industry and a good understanding of conveying systems and associated concepts.

- Knowledge of the Sidel portfolio.

The role implies travels up to 50% of the time.
