You will be joining Worldline, a company in full transition to a new era of payments, covering hardware, software and services as tooling for merchants to grow their business.

Part of SREs, automation and industrialization of the databases platform on our internal cloud will fall under your responsibilities. You will be joining a small SRE team in charge of PostgreSQL as a service. After a training period about our products and services, you will work on many layers of the infrastructure not limited to the database, such as storage, system, network... offering a large technical panel to learn and play around with. You will be in charge of the infrastructure aspects of databases, not of the applicative ones.

Day-To-Day Reponsibilities

* Maintain Operational Conditions.
* Daily run.
* Ensure PITR is possible at any time on any database on predefined retention periods.
* Ensure Service quality (infrastructure & engine performances, availability, access, high availability, SLA...).
* Bug/fixes and features development on our puppet and ansible modules.
* Execute changes in production.
* Compliancy to PCIDSS requirements.
* Documentation writing around our tools and processes.
* Onduty 24/7 for at least a week per month.
* Frequent out of business hours operations (at least once a week).

Mandatory Skills

* Fluent English (written and spoken)
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
* Over 3 years of production experience with PostgreSQL 13+, including clustering, engine tuning, streaming replication, and backups/PITR
* Proficient in scripting (at least Bash or Python)
* Skilled in designing Service Level Indicators for proactive SRE management
* Strong ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks
* Experience developing and implementing cloud concepts and provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform)
* Knowledge of DevOps best practices and CI/CD methodologies
* Comfortable operating in Linux environments and working with multi-DC setups
* Familiar with CLI environments and tools such as Git and Puppet
* Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities; rigorous and meticulous
* Ability to work under high pressure with a focus on service and customer-centric solutions
* Open-minded, self-starter with a collaborative team spirit and commitment to transparency
* Awareness of current trends and developments in database administration

Nice To Have

* Knowledge of pacemaker/corosync
* Comfortable with terraform, ansible
* Ability to manage create metrics and dashboards with Grafana
* Log management with ELK and/or Loki
* Experience on both On prem + cloud
* Understanding network protocols (IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, Load balancing, clustering, ...) Docker
