About the Company

Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. IO has two generations of missions

"Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third third launching in 2026.

"Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.


To complete our dynamic and international team, we are looking for experienced software project managers to help us get the best out of our growing software engineering teams across multiple locations (Luxembourg, London, Barcelona, Algeria).

Job Description
Technical Leadership

- Review, debug, and improve complex code across software, embedded, and FPGA domains.
- Support design and code reviews, system validation, and integration activities.
- Ensure high standards in code quality, documentation, and testing.
- Contribute to the design and optimization of embedded software, HIL testing setups, and FlatSat integration.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Project Management

- Plan, coordinate, and track engineering activities to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Manage priorities, risks, and resources across ongoing projects.
- Serve as a bridge between the teams in Toulouse and abroad, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Contribute to the definition and enforcement of software development processes, quality gates, and integration workflows.

Team Growth and Development

- Identify technical gaps and recruit new engineers.
- Mentor and train junior engineers to build a strong, autonomous technical team.
- Foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
- Help us make the most of our skilled and dedicated engineering team abroad.

Le profil recherché


Requirements

- MSc or equivalent degree in Computer, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in embedded software or system development.
- Strong background in embedded systems, FlatSat testing, and system integration.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and real-time operating systems (RTEMS, FreeRTOS).
- Solid understanding of satellite systems, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and communication protocols (CAN, UART, RS422, SpaceWire, MIL-STD-1553, CCSDS/PUS).
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers, conducting reviews, and ensuring technical quality.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to travel on a regular basis (at least once a month)
- Fluency in English (French is a plus).

Good to have

- Experience with space-grade software and hardware integration.
- Knowledge of ECSS standards and spacecraft validation processes.
- Experience in Matlab/Simulink, UML, or model-based design.
- Familiarity with test automation, CI/CD, and version control tools.
- Previous experience in team building or startup environments.
- A genuine passion for space systems and for building innovative solutions from emerging ecosystems.
