Our activity is looking for an Junior Buyer Apprentice for its R&D Center based in Bavans (30 min from Belfort; 15 min from Monbéliard; near Switzerland). The Center R&D from Bavans, with close to 1000 collaborators, develop innovative solutions for sustainable and clean mobility. It is Forvia's global center of expertise on hydrogen storage systems.As a Junior Buyer Apprentice you will work closely with internal teams, segment buyers, and suppliers.
Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Your missions :
1. RFQ Process & Supplier Nomination:
- Supplier selection in coordination with segment buyers
- Launching requests for quotation (RFQs)
- Conducting technical and commercial negotiations with suppliers
- Leading the supplier nomination process
2. Program Development & Execution:
- Monitoring development schedules and ensuring supplier deliveries
- Ensuring suppliers meet quality targets
- Setting up program-specific contracts
- Ensuring ramp-up readiness before launch and transfer to mass production
3. Purchasing Performance Management:
- Processes and supplier strategy
- OTD (On-Time Delivery) performance
- Track economic performance
- Drive productivity during serial production
- Monitoring payment terms
You will contribute to improving program productivity and ensure the achievement of purchasing objectives.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
What if it were you?
- Currently in your final year of a Master's degree (Bac +5), preferably with a specialization in purchasing
- Fluent in English
Additionally, you are:
- Open-minded, proactive, and autonomous
- A strong communicator, attentive, with analytical and critical thinking skills
- Able to bring a fresh perspective to organizational practices
- Comfortable working in an international environment
- Able to work within a matrix organization
