Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Our activity is looking for an CAD designer Apprentice for its R&D Center based in Bavans (30 min from Belfort; 15 min from Monbéliard; near Switzerland). The Center R&D from Bavans, with close to 1000 collaborators, develop innovative solutions for sustainable and clean mobility. It is Forvia's global center of expertise on hydrogen storage systems.
Apprenticeship duration 3 years, from start date.
What makes the position interesting ?
The Design Engineer is responsible for design of new or existing products, in line with planning, process, quality targets. He/she produces complete engineering designs translated in CAD models and creates all the associated documentation with in PLM application
You will be working on challenges that matter
Your missions:
- Creation / Modifications of 3D models for all technology :
- For Exhaust components using standard CAD software.
- Be capable to design component without Standard existing.
- Strong in preparation of drawings with basic GD&T or as per references.
- Knowledge of Sheetmetal/Casting/Forging/Plastics/Rubber manufacturing Processes.
- Communicate with the customer on day to day activities.
- Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documents (PLM)
- Execute projects to meet the customer's time line and quality requirements.
- Participate in GAP meeting and update information GAP boards timely
Actively participate in employee involvement/ Continuous Improvement activities /knowledge management initiatives
