About the Company
Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. IO has two generations of missions
"Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third third launching in 2026.
"Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.
We are seeking a Systems Engineering Quality Manager to establish, manage, and continuously improve the systems engineering framework for a fast-growing satellite design and manufacturing company.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering rigor and execution speed, ensuring that systems engineering processes, methods, and configuration control are robust, scalable, and consistently applied across all programs.
You will act as the guardian of engineering discipline, ensuring traceability, coherence, and quality from mission definition through design, manufacturing, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Engineering Process Management
- Define, implement, and maintain systems engineering processes aligned with industry standards (e.g., ECSS, NASA, ISO).
- Ensure consistent application of processes across all programs and lifecycle phases.
- Drive continuous improvement of systems engineering practices based on lessons learned and project feedback.
Methods & Tools Governance
- Establish and standardize systems engineering methods (requirements engineering, functional analysis, verification & validation, model-based systems engineering).
- Own and manage the systems engineering toolchain (e.g., requirements management, MBSE tools, configuration management systems).
- Ensure effective integration between tools and engineering workflows.
Configuration Control & Change Management
- Define and enforce configuration management processes for all system baselines (requirements, design, interfaces, verification artifacts).
- Chair or support Configuration Control Boards (CCB).
- Ensure traceability of changes and impact assessments across the system lifecycle.
Requirements & Traceability Oversight
- Ensure high-quality requirements definition, decomposition, and allocation.
- Maintain end-to-end traceability from mission objectives to verification.
- Monitor requirements maturity and consistency across subsystems.
Verification & Validation Governance
- Ensure that verification and validation strategies are well-defined and executed.
- Track verification status and ensure closure of verification activities.
- Support reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, QR, etc.) with clear compliance evidence.
Audit & Compliance
- Conduct internal audits of systems engineering processes and artifacts.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory/customer requirements.
- Prepare for and support customer and third-party audits.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with systems, software, hardware, AIT, and operations teams.
- Support program managers in tracking engineering maturity and risks.
- Act as a bridge between engineering execution and quality assurance.
Le profil recherché
- Experience in aerospace, satellite or spacecraft development programs.
- Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., Cameo, Capella).
- Experience setting up processes in a startup or fast-scaling environment.
Key Skills
- Strong systems thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to enforce rigor without slowing down execution
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
