STUDIOCANAL, CANAL+'s in-house studio, is one of Europe's leading film and series studios, with worldwide production and distribution capabilities. It operates directly in nine major European markets including Austria, Benelux, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom, as well as in Australia and New Zealand, and offices in the United States and China. STUDIOCANAL finances, produces, and distributes 80 films per year. It owns one of the most prestigious catalogues in the world and the largest catalogue of European titles, boasting more than 9 400 titles from 60 countries. With a catalogue spanning 100 years of film history, STUDIOCANAL has invested close to 25 million euros into the 4K restoration of nearly 1 000 classic feature films over the past 7 years.
STUDIOCANAL also produces over 15 series each year, including local creations and premium international co-productions, and distributes its scripted productions and CANAL+ Originals globally (2,000 hours of current and library content in distribution). Projects are produced in-house by STUDIOCANAL or through its worldwide network of production companies, including 2e Bureau, STUDIOCANAL Original, Flab, Kissman, Pernel and Upside in France; Birdie Pictures, Red Production Company, Urban Myth Films, Strong Film & Television, and Sunny March TV in the UK; Bambú Producciones and Te Espero en Marte in Spain; Lailaps Films and STUDIOCANAL Series in Germany; Opus TV in Poland; Sam Productions in Denmark; Dingie in Belgium; and The Picture Company in the United States.
Role and Responsibilities
The role will support the UK team (based in London) and the International team (based in Paris) across HR duties from administration and coordination of recruitment, onboarding, induction, training & development, DEI, HR reporting and HR projects.
Support to the UK HR team
- Carry out administrative tasks alongside the HR Coordinator supporting the team in day-to-day activities.
- Actively participate in designing and sending out the monthly HR newsletter to all staff.
- Manage the logistics of training sessions and promote internal training HR events.
- Responsible for managing the Solidarity' platform, promoting the volunteer opportunities across the business.
- Attend and participate in the DEI committee meetings assisting with initiatives and events through the year.
- Work with the Head of HR and HRBP participate in research and drafting of various HR projects, producing presentations.
- Provide administrative support to employees: check references, contracts, monitoring probation periods, exit interviews.
- Work with the external freelance agency to ensure the process is seamless and POs and payments are made efficiently.
- Raise all POs and ensure prompt payment for all providers.
Support to the International HR team
- Provide recruitment support for Studiocanal global roles (job posting, CV screening, interviews etc.)
- Assist in coordination of the VIE program across territories.
- Work closely with each territory to ensure the process runs efficiently and all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate cross-country activities, including using the HR tool Share+'
- Produce the International HR Newsletter.
- Monitor HR projects and highlights of the year, such as the Performance Annual Review.
- Provide adhoc HR support to the HR team in the Kids & Family scope.
Skills and Experience
- At least one year's experience of working within the field of Human Resources across recruitment, HR and project management.
- Fluent in English with good written skills.
- Ideally have a passion for Film/TV.
