Les missions du poste
Work With Island was born in 2018 from a simple observation: the office is no longer adapted to today's needs. It's complicated to isolate yourself to hold a video conference or find a meeting room.
Our mission is to bring more serenity to the working environment with our range of modular, soundproof pods.
We are transparent in the design of our products: designed by our team of engineers based in Paris and manufactured in France using eco-responsible materials.
We are also transparent in the way we distribute them, offering our customers a unique buying experience for this type of product.
Backed by leading investors such as François Blum, co-founder of LeBonCoin, Bertrand Uzeel, co-founder of Welcome To The Jungle, Eric Larcheveque, co-founder of Ledger, and Jeremy Charoy, co-founder of Lalalab, we are growing by more than 300% a year and are currently in the process of opening up new European markets.
Our commitment:
Made in France
Eco-friendly materials
Products sold at the right price
As a member of the Product Performance team, you will work hand in hand with Tatiana (Product Performance Director) and Léa (Production Engineer) to secure and optimize our core engine: our supply chain and production. Triggered by a strong business scaling, the launch of our New Gen booths, and a tense economic context where margins are key to protecting our EBITDA, this role is a unique and highly strategic opportunity. If you want to dive into operational supply chain, source alternative components, lead cost negotiations, and see the immediate impact of your actions on real, physical products, this is the perfect place for you!
Your mission
Under Tatiana and Léa's mentorship, your main goal will be to secure our overall supply chain and optimize our manufacturing costs. While Léa and Adrien manage the factories assembling our booths, you will support them with our historical component suppliers, qualify new ones, and manage the deployment of alternative components in production. You will act as a key connector between internal stakeholders (Léa, Adrien, OPS team) and external partners (factories and suppliers in France and Europe).
Your main responsibilities
1. Sourcing to Cost & Negotiation
- Review, secure, and optimize our Bill of Materials (BOM) by finding alternative components.
- Source and qualify new high-potential suppliers and components across France and Europe (including potential on-site visits).
- Run benchmarks and lead price negotiations to protect our EBITDA in a challenging economic context.
2. Production Implementation & Process Optimization
- Manage the integration and implementation of new components directly into the production line.
- Participate in and optimize our overall supply process in close collaboration with our production engineers.
- Monitor component stocks and delivery flows, specifically handling high-tension periods (such as summer factory closures).
3. Quality Monitoring & Technical Compliance
- Monitor supplier and factory quality performance and manage feedback loops.
- Update critical technical documentation (labelling, technical datasheets, Certificates of Conformance - CoC, Declarations of Conformity - DoC).
