We are hiring an R&D Engineer to work across the full development of our cryogenic LH2 tanks and filling stations. This is a deliberately broad role: you will move between mechanical design, structural analysis, thermofluidics, and systems engineering.This is a hands-on engineering position in a small team. You will build CAD, run analyses, size subsystems, and follow your work onto the test bench. Your contributions reach the final hardware on a demanding schedule.Responsibilities : Design and ModellingProduce CAD models and manufacturing drawings of tank subassemblies and interfaces.Maintain the digital mock-up (DMU) and keep the tank consistent with its integration environment.Adapt mechanical and fluid interfaces to selected equipment (valves, relief devices, instrumentation, cryogenic lines).AnalysisRun structural and thermal analyses: static and thermoelastic stress, heat-leak estimation, and basic dynamic checks.Build and adapt sizing models in FEA tools and with hand calculations.Verify results against functional, performance and safety requirements; document assumptions, methods, and results.Thermofluidics and SystemsSize and analyse cryogenic fluid circuits: pressure build-up, boil-off, venting, and heat exchange.Support system architecture and requirement definition for the tank and its subsystems.Run trade-off studies across performance, mass, complexity, and cost.Manufacturing, Test and IntegrationSupport equipment procurement activities and hardware manufacturing follow-up.Prepare test cases, support LN2 and LH2 test campaigns, and correlate predictions with measured data.Contribute to design reviews with concise technical justification.Review manufacturing drawings for fit, tolerances, and assembly feasibility.Desirable Background in cryogenics, hydrogen, or pressure-vessel systems.Familiarity with a pressure vessel design code.Experience with thermoelastic analysis or 1D thermofluid simulation (Amesim or equivalent).Knowledge of aluminium design for welded structures.

EducationEngineering degree (MSc or equivalent) in mechanical, aerospace, energy, or a related field.Experience2 to 5 years in mechanical design and/or analysis of engineered hardware.Demonstrated ability to work across disciplines.Hands-on exposure to a full development cycle: design, analysis, and test.Technical SkillsCAD: CATIA, Solidworks, Fusion360 or equivalent.FEA: Abaqus, Hypermesh or Ansys/Nastran with willingness to transition.Mechanics: solid fundamentals in structural mechanics, heat transfer, and basic fluid mechanics.Methods: comfortable with hand calculations and able to justify modelling assumptions.LanguagesProfessional English required.French is a strong asset.
