Mission

The API Product Manager will define and execute the API strategy to enhance the developer experience and expand the API ecosystem for our platform.

They will ensure our APIs are scalable, secure, well-documented, and aligned with business objectives, enabling seamless integrations for partners, customers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the API ecosystem.

- Partner with engineering and other product managers to design, develop, and launch scalable, secure, and high-performing APIs.

- Ensure a best-in-class developer experience through clear documentation, SDKs, and support resources.

- Work closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather API requirements and drive adoption.

- Establish API governance, versioning policies, and backward compatibility strategies.

- Define and monitor API product success metrics, including developer engagement, latency, and adoption rates.

- Advocate for API-first principles across the organization, ensuring consistency and standardization.

- Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in API management, security, and monetization.

Required Skills & Experience

- Product Management Expertise: 10+ years in product management, preferably with experience in API products.

- Technical Understanding: Strong grasp of REST, GraphQL, Webhooks, authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT), API gateways, and developer tooling.

- Developer Experience Focus: Experience in improving API usability, onboarding, and documentation.

- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to define and analyze API-related KPIs (e.g., time to first call, error rates, API retention).

- Security & Compliance Awareness: Understanding of API security best practices, rate limiting, and governance.

- Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to engage with both technical teams (engineering, architects) and business stakeholders.

- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align API strategy with business objectives and user needs.

The mission can be based in Paris or Lyon office
