A silhouette in motion and accessories are an essential part of the CHANEL allure and the Brand's timeless codes, immediately identifiable, originally envisioned by Gabrielle Chanel and now interpreted under the artistic direction of Matthieu Blazy.WHAT IMPACT YOU CREATE AT CHANELWe are seeking for a passionate and detail-oriented Assistant Junior Designer intern to join our Studio team based in Paris.We are looking for a Fashion Knitwear or Knitted Textile student who is keen to broaden their design and technical skills through a hands-on internship within our knitwear team. This placement offers exposure to the full knitwear development process, from research to fabric and garment development.Conduct fashion, trend, and textile image researchAssist in knitted fabric design and development with a hands-on approachWork with machine knitting, including domestic knitting machinesSupport hand knitting and sampling; crochet skills are a plusAssist in garment development, including flat sketchesSupport sampling, prototyping, and development processesOrganise yarns, swatches, samples, and design filesSupport the team during collection development and fittingsWHAT YOU WILL BRINGBA/MA degree in Fashion Design and strong design and knitwear sensitivityStrong knowledge of machine knitting techniquesConfident with domestic knitting machines and hand knittingUnderstanding of knitted structures and textile developmentStrong visual research skillsStrong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detailFlexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.Able to work independently and collaboratively within a teamProficiencyin Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.Ability to speak and write English fluently and ideally FrenchWHAT ENERGIZE YOU & WHAT CHANEL CAN OFFER YOUThe independence of a creative house that puts people at its heart.The dynamism of an environment that cultivates excellence while encouraging personal development for all.Opportunities for development, growth and multiple career paths in a company that is attentive to the uniqueness of everyone.The richness of our teams comes from the uniqueness of everyone.
