Learn more about and how we can .What role you will play in our teamThe Manufacturing Chemical Process Engineer role is responsible for developing and deploying process and physical chemistry tools, models, and expertise throughout the technology development pipeline, from early-stage research to commercial design. This can involve the use of thermodynamics, molecular transport, and kinetic modeling, as a basis for conversion and separation processes.What you will doThis position serves as a technical leader by:Mentoring less experienced engineers on design practices, unit health monitoring, and troubleshootingProviding support of abnormal and non-routine operations, including unit TurnaroundsAiding in the development of long term vision and strategy for product line improvementsOrganizing and design plant testing and product trialsInfluencing others and drive toward solutions without direct authorityWorking in a team environment with other engineering disciplines, operations, and mechanical personnel and interface with corporate technology supportInterfacing with 3rd party vendors (cost optimizations as well as developing/driving solutions)Leading/support incident investigations as technical leadProviding support for developing and implementing various capital projects to drive margin or mitigate SHE riskProviding assistance in the field during plant startups, shutdowns or upsetsDemonstrating courage of conviction to drive healthy tension for both business team and corporate technology support to promote fit for purpose outcomeAbout youSkills and Qualifications:B.S. Chemical Engineering3-10 years of experience in refining and/or chemicals manufacturing rolesPreferred Qualifications/ Experience:Process design exposureFamiliarity with advanced control strategies/optimization softwareRisk assessment and HAZOP experienceUnderstanding of safety relief limits (modelling and evaluations)Understanding of modelling software (PROII, ASPEN, etc)Your benefitsAn ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
