With strong expertise in the maritime industry and a team of more than 30 specialized consultants, we support our clients across key areas including project management, naval architecture, R&D, procurement and logistics.
We are currently recruiting a Vessel Performance Analyst for one of our clients in the Maritime/Naval sector. ?
Within the R&D department and in cooperation with other departments of the Group, your mission will be to collect and understand business needs and monitor initiatives related to vessel performance.
The project focuses on connecting vessels by collecting high-frequency data automatically from vessel sensors, in order to analyze this data on shore. The data will be combined with other data sources and used to perform performance analytics of the fleet.
The intended specifications concern the development of tools / dashboards for data analysis and decision-making support based on three main areas:
- Ship Performance Monitoring
- Predictive Maintenance
- Nautical Safety
Responsibilities :
You will be part of the Performance Analytics team, and your tasks will include:
- Improving performance monitoring tools through data processing;
- Building code;
- Creating visualization dashboards of the results;
- Presenting the insights obtained from the results, which can lead to actions and potential fuel and emission savings.
Le profil recherché
- Graduated from an engineering school and interested in the maritime industry.
- Experience in writing code and producing results, preferably in the field of vessel performance analytics (hull and propeller, main and auxiliary engines onboard, etc.).
- Ability to interpret results and a good physical understanding of vessel performance.
- Experience working on similar projects involving the development of vessel performance tools is preferred.
- Broad knowledge of data analytics tools, data governance, data challenges and statistics.
- Good knowledge of the following would be appreciated:
- Python
- Ship resistance and propulsion
- Vessel performance tools available on the market
- Data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Nice to have:
- Ability to program in other languages, such as SQL
- Understanding of vessel dynamics in a seaway
- Understanding of meteorological and oceanographic (metocean) data
