Trainee Technical Designer
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Trainee Technical Designer to join our team and contribute to the design and implementation of main missions in our game. You will work closely with level designers, narrative designers, quest designers, and level artists to bring engaging gameplay experiences to life while ensuring technical robustness and scalability.
Responsibilities
As a Trainee Technical Designer, you will:
- Work in tandem with level designers, narrative designers, quest designers, and level artists to design main missions in the game.
- Provide level designers with modular functionalities for their missions.
- Design, implement, and maintain modular functionalities for the game.
- Ensure that the technical requirements of main missions are respected and validated.
- Write clear and precise documentation about the features you work on.
- Raise issues and future problems in a timely manner to your manager or other team members to ensure the stability and feasibility of deliverables.
Le profil recherché
Degree in game design, level design, technical design, video games, or a related field.
Personal projects or initial experience combining level design with technical implementation (scripting, gameplay systems, tools).
Good understanding of navigation, flow, pacing, and readability principles, along with their technical constraints (performance, streaming, occlusion).
Ability to translate design intent into functional prototypes using scripting or visual scripting (Blueprints, C#, Python, Lua).
Strong interest in real-time engines (Unreal, Unity) and their level design and gameplay scripting tools.
Proficiency in English.
