About the role.

Reporting to the VP Operations EMENA, the Director REO GB&I & EMENA is the senior regional leader responsible for defining and executing the strategy for Resource-Efficient Operations (REO) across Great Britain & Ireland (GB&I) and EMENA. This role provides strategic leadership for environmental compliance, decarbonization, energy and utilities management, water stewardship, waste reduction, and resource efficiency.

The Director REO GB&I & EMENA will drive McCain's Sustainability and 2030 environmental footprint commitments, lead the regional REO organization, govern the environmental investment portfolio, and ensure environmental sustainability becomes a key contributor to operational excellence, business performance, and long-term value creation.

What you'll be doing.

• Define and lead the REO strategy across GB&I and EMENA, aligning regional priorities with McCain's sustainability ambitions and operational objectives.
• Own the regional decarbonization roadmap and drive initiatives that reduce carbon emissions through renewable energy, electrification, fuel switching, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, corporate standards, and certification requirements including ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
• Lead environmental governance, risk management, and engagement with regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and external stakeholders.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing network of REO, utilities, and environmental professionals across the manufacturing network.
• Govern the regional environmental, utilities, water, wastewater, and energy capital investment portfolio, ensuring effective prioritization and benefit realization.
• Establish standards and best practices for utilities management, water stewardship, wastewater treatment, waste reduction, and resource efficiency.
• Drive performance management through environmental and resource-efficiency KPIs, executive reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Sponsor innovation, digital transformation, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision making to improve environmental performance and operational effectiveness.
• Serve as a key member of the Operations Leadership Team, influencing business strategy through environmental, operational, and financial insights.

What you'll need to be successful.

• Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Operations, or a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, sustainability, utilities, or environmental management within a multi-site industrial environment.
• Deep expertise in environmental compliance, regulatory management, and environmental governance.
• Proven experience leading industrial decarbonization, energy transition, and sustainability transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of utilities management, energy systems, water stewardship, wastewater treatment, and resource efficiency.
• Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and environmental management systems.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale capital investment portfolios and complex transformation projects.
• Strong financial acumen with experience developing and evaluating business cases for major investments.
• Track record of leading leaders, developing organizational capability, and building high-performing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, and influencing skills across global and regional organizations.
• Experience driving innovation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing environments.

About the team.

The Director REO GB&I & EMENA is a key member of the Operations Leadership Team and leads the regional REO organization across Great Britain, Ireland, and EMENA. The role provides leadership and direction to the REO Manager EMENA, Plant REO Managers, Utilities Managers, and related technical communities.

Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Sustainability, Manufacturing Excellence, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Global Operations leaders, the team is focused on delivering industry-leading environmental performance, achieving sustainability commitments, and improving resource efficiency across McCain's manufacturing network.
