At Salomon, we believe the best snowboard products are created by people who live and breathe the sport. We're looking for a passionate snowboarder with a technical mindset to help develop the next generation of boards for riders around the world.

As our future Snowboard Developer, you will contribute to the development of Salomon's board range from concept through production. Working closely with athletes, designers, product managers and manufacturing partners, you will help transform ideas into high-performance products that inspire riders to progress, explore and push their limits.

This role is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for snowboarding with product innovation, engineering and hands-on development.

What You Will Do

Product Development & Innovation

  • Develop and refine snowboard shapes, constructions and performance concepts through CAD, prototyping and testing.
  • Contribute to the creation of new technologies, materials and construction solutions that enhance ride quality, durability and sustainability.
  • Support the development process from initial concepts through industrialization and production.
  • Analyze prototype performance and translate testing feedback into product improvements.
  • Explore emerging technologies, materials and industry trends to bring new ideas into future product ranges.
  • Maintain technical documentation, specifications and product development files throughout the process.

Athlete Testing & Rider Insights

  • Collaborate with athletes, ambassadors and key riders throughout the development cycle.
  • Participate in on-snow testing and prototype evaluation sessions.
  • Gather and translate rider feedback into technical product solutions.
  • Stay connected to snowboard culture, consumer needs and market evolution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Line Managers, Design, Quality, Development and Supply teams.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure product feasibility and production readiness.
  • Support project timelines, development milestones and product validations.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Le profil recherché

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Passion for snowboarding and a deep understanding of snowboard equipment, performance and riding practices.
  • 2-5 years of experience in product development, engineering, industrial design or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing or product construction principles.
  • Experience using CAD software in a product development environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to combine technical rigor with creativity and rider-focused thinking.

Technical Knowledge in One or More of the Following Areas

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Product design and development
  • Composite materials
  • Materials engineering
  • Manufacturing processes
  • Wood, laminate or composite constructions
  • Prototyping and testing methodologies

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Fluent English,French is a plus.
