About the Company
Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. IO has two generations of missions
"Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third third launching in 2026.
"Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.
We are looking for an Engineer responsible for defining and implementing the embedded software development workshop used for the software developed for our satellites.
The goal is to build a modern, industrial, and reproducible development environment for developing, testing, integrating and validating critical embedded software, particularly in C and Rust, with Python for testing, automation, and engineering tools.
A major dimension of the role will be implementing a strategy for using artificial intelligence to accelerate development, while maintaining a level of control compatible with the requirements of space projects and the ECSS and ISO 9001 standards.
The candidate must therefore be able to build a workshop that combines developer productivity, automation, reproducibility, cybersecurity, traceability, and compliance.
Job Description
Workshop architecture
Define the overall architecture of the development environment:
- C and Rust environments;
- Python environment for testing and automation;
- source code management;
- dependency management;
- version management;
- configuration management;
- continuous integration;
- artifact management;
- test report management;
- static and dynamic analysis;
- requirements management and traceability;
- integration with anomaly management tools;
- simulation and validation environments.
The goal is to have a reproducible workshop, notably allowing a software environment to be rebuilt identically and verification evidence to be produced that can be used within a space project.
Hybrid validation
Build an architecture that allows the same test logic to be run at several levels of system representation:
Software-in-the-Loop / simulation software model of the hardware and/or environment.
Hardware / representative equipment validation on real equipment or a test environment.
Flight equipment where relevant, validation on the actual equipment intended for flight.
CI/CD industrialization
