Brief Description
Barilla France wants to recruit a Western Europe Sustainability & Harrys Soft Wheat Sector Associate Manager within the Purchasing - Soft Wheat & Flour Grains team.
The individual will be based in Boulogne Billancourt (France) and will report to the Purchasing Director Soft Wheat Flour Grains.
In this role, you will:
· Act as the representative of the company's ESG & Sustainability strategy in Western Europe, serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, clients and media, and fostering a strong internal network among colleagues involved in ESG initiatives;
· Act as the referent for Harrys Filiere Blè Tendere (soft wheat sector), Drive the implementation of Barilla and Harrys CSR objectives through the Harrys Moelleux et Responsable Soft Wheat supply chain by coordinating internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring it remains a strategic differentiator and source of competitive advantage through value creation and cost control.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Harrys Soft Wheat Sector lead:
· Organization and management of meetings related to the soft wheat sector (filière blé tendre Harrys) including: steering committees with all storage organizations and millers, contract execution follow-up meetings, sector expert committee, annual steering committee with internal sponsors of the sector
· Organization and management of events to engage the partner community: serve as the primary point of contact for events, managing their planning and organization and coordinating with involved departments (marketing, digital marketing, sales, etc.) and PR consultants and external partner for events execution
· Management and organization of Reporting related to the sector: manage and collaborate with External Service Providers responsible for Reporting and Analysis, acting as the referent point for compiling results, results simplification, and internal data dissemination and follow up with relevant stakeholders
· Ensure full mastery of the soft wheat sector specifications for Harrys by: defining practices to be implemented by partners, formalizing all documents necessary for optimal sector operation (reference documents, procedures, communication materials, etc.), ensuring documents are distributed to all stakeholders (partners, auditors, legal department, marketing, etc.), providing training to certain stakeholders for a complete understanding of the soft wheat sector (auditors, technical sales representatives, Barilla employees, agroforestry managers, etc.)
· Manage audits for the sector: prepare and conduct Barilla's annual audit and internal audits in collaboration with external auditors, monitor non-conformities, define and follow up on correctiveaction plans. Monitor the scheduling of partner audits and follow up on corrective actions with partners. Negotiate pricing conditions, budget and track invoicing.
· Ensure regulatory monitoring on topics of interest for the sector and monitor public funding opportunities that our initiatives could be eligible for.
· Represent the Harrys soft wheat sector internally and externally: Act as the main point of contact for all matters related to the soft wheat sector externally (partners, service providers, institutions, BSFTT, experts, etc.) and internally (marketing, legal, CSR, etc.).
· Provide the company and the Harrys brand with all elements to best showcase the implemented activities (key figures, potential claims, photos, videos, etc.) and support company activities (trade shows, press, etc.).
ESG & Sustainability WE lead:
· Centralize the information about ESG strategy and actions (plants, logistics, raw materials, packaging, energy ...) by collaborating with all the local and central ESG experts and coordinating the data collection (global targets, global and local projects ...)
· Support the Western Europe Region: providing updated data and information in a clear and understandable way, participating to build the useful material for communication to Clients and PR, participating to meetings with clients when required by the Region, participating to Press contacts when required by the Region
· Manage and coordinate operationally the ESG activities for Soft Wheat: managing the Decarbonization plan of SW flours for France Operations (SBTi based), making synergies within the SW flours and rye decarbonization and regenerative strategies across European network
QUALIFICATIONS
· Educational Background: degree in Management, Economics, Marketing, Engineering and other similar studies with a strong focus on Sustainability & ESG; a degree in Agronomy will be considered as a plus
· Minimum 5 years of working experience
· Languages: proficiency in French and English (both spoken and written); the knowledge of Italian will be considered as a plus
· Proficiency in using Excel, SAP knowledge considered as a plus
· Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to work autonomously
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach
· Analytical mindset
