YOUR ROLE :

Within the Accounting Department of the parent company and main shipowner of the Group, you oversee the closing process and the production of the monthly reporting for the CMA CGM SA (CCSA) entity, thereby ensuring the reliability of its financial information.

As a true guardian of financial integrity, you ensure impeccable accounting quality through in-depth technical analyses. In close collaboration with our Shared Service Centers and the Project and IT teams, you are also expected to act as a driving force in proposing and implementing tools and processes aimed at structuring activities and strengthening internal control.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

General Accounting

- Coordinate all monthly closing activities for the Group's head entity.
- Ensure the accuracy of the accounts and strict compliance with accounting standards (French GAAP / IFRS) as well as Group procedures.
- Oversee the production of reporting and perform analytical reviews of variances (Balance Sheet and P&L) to explain financial performance.
- Provide expertise on complex accounting schemes and accounting doctrine matters.
- Act as a key liaison between Finance, Project, IT teams, subsidiaries, and Shared Service Centers (SSCs).
- Serve as the main point of contact for External Auditors to facilitate and secure pre-audit and certification phases.

Contribution to accounting projects

- Actively contribute to the modernization and continuous improvement of accounting processes (standardization, digitalization, etc.).
- Contribute to the definition of business requirements for projects impacting Accounting.
- Support testing, deployment, and user training phases, and drive change management across teams.
- Ensure that projects comply with accounting principles and Group standards.
- Define, formalize, and enhance processes, procedures, and accounting schemes.

Continuous improvement & internal control

- Act as a proactive force in optimizing tools and enhancing the reliability of closing processes.
- Strengthen accounting documentation and the internal control framework.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

- Higher education degree in Accounting/Finance
- At least 5 years of experience, gained in an audit firm followed by a corporate environment
- Comfortable working in international and multi-stakeholder environments
- Ability to work in a project-based and cross-functional setting
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to synthesize information
- Fluent in English; knowledge of SAP is a plus
