What they needOperations Support Engineer L2 Long-term freelance contract 100% on-site Strasbourg Major European agency Competitive remunerationWe are actively seeking an Operations Support Engineer L2 for a long-term freelance contract within a major European agency.Based in Strasbourg, you will provide level 2 support in close collaboration with DevSecOps teams, architects, and operational teams, ensuring the stability, security, and operational continuity of critical, high-stakes systems.You will work in a multicultural, multi-vendor environment with a strong focus on service excellence.Your responsibilities:Ensure the stability and continuity of production systems by carrying out the corrective, preventive, and adaptive maintenance activities required to uphold defined service levels.Handle incidents, problems, and service requests at L2 level by analysing root causes, coordinating resolutions, and contributing to post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence.Monitor system health and performance through observability tools, respond proactively to alerts, and collaborate with DevSecOps teams on deployments and environment optimisation.Participate in change and release management activities, ensuring deployment readiness, the implementation of rollback plans, and the execution of validation tests.Provide operational support for middleware and integration components (gateways, messaging and data management platforms, identity and access management systems, web servers).Maintain up-to-date operational documentation (procedures, knowledge base, incident reports) and actively contribute to knowledge transfer within the team.Your profile:Minimum 3 years of experience in IT operations or application/system support, including at least 2 years of level 2 support on large-scale critical systems.Solid command of ITIL processes: incident, problem, change, release, and knowledge management.Experience with Linux/Unix environments, container orchestration platforms, and observability tools.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, API management, IAM solutions (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML), and event-driven messaging platforms.Valued certifications: ITIL Foundation or higher, Linux Administration, container orchestration, or equivalent.Strong analytical skills, documentation rigour, and ease of communication in a multicultural and multi-vendor environment.Good level of English (minimum B2).Our offer:A long-term freelance contract, 100% on-site, within an international institutional environment.Ambitious projects with high strategic impact, in a stimulating and constantly evolving technological context.A multicultural and innovative working environment, with high-level technical teams.Competitive remuneration, commensurate with your expertise and responsibilities.Are you interested in this assignment?
