Senior Sitecore Developer - Public Transport & E-commerce

Location: Belgium / Remote Work arrangement: 100% Remote Language: English (C1 minimum or native level) Availability: On-demand 24/7 availability for production incidents

Mission

We are looking for an experienced Sitecore Developer to strengthen a web development team working on digital platforms in the public transport and e-commerce sectors. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on C#/.NET and Sitecore development expertise with proven experience in public transport and e-commerce environments. You will design, develop and enhance high-performance web platforms, working closely with backend developers, designers and business stakeholders to deliver seamless, reliable and user-friendly digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on development of complex web platforms using Sitecore and C#/.NET.
• Develop and maintain Sitecore-based web applications and integrations.
• Optimize platform performance, reliability and cross-browser compatibility.
• Integrate web platforms with backend systems to ensure consistent data exchange.
• Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, responsive web interfaces.
• Contribute to Sitecore migrations, upgrades and version updates.
• Implement testing strategies and ensure application quality.
• Apply modern development practices, design patterns and coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers.
• Participate in production support, including on-demand incident availability.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on Sitecore development experience, supported by a portfolio of web platforms.
• 5+ years of hands-on C#/.NET development, with the last 3 years spent in a fully hands-on development role (not primarily managerial or architectural).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Sitecore 10 XP, including containers, analytics and marketing forms.
• Participation in at least 2 Sitecore migration and/or version upgrade projects.
• Proven experience in at least one public transport assignment.
• Proven experience in at least one e-commerce assignment.
• Strong knowledge of web performance optimization, application architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Languages

• English: native speaker or minimum C1 level, written and spoken.
